This hospital is a breath of fresh air! The communication that is both articulate and multifaceted is very good from the Doctor and the nurses. I have had lots of experience with hospitals as I have had 34 surgeries including 2 amputations in the last eight years. I now must have knee surgery and have decided to come back to Fairfax after the surgery.

I was very scared upon arriving at Fairfax Hospital. I was 2 1/2 hours away from my family and friends. When I first arrived, I was met by Jenny and Kristy from Therapy. They took me in hand and told me I was going to get stronger. I did not believe them. I am now stronger than I thought possible from a hospital visit. I am now ready to move on after having made so many new friends. This hospital has a feeling of home. The food is absolutely delicious. I adore the CNAs. They made sure all my needs were taken care of and would pop into my room with a smile just to check on me. The nurses are awesome, and the doctors listen, answer questions and speak to me in a language I can understand. The staff here actually care! Technology is beyond my wildest imagination. The beds are awesome, and the lift takes me to the bathroom and to the shower. The housekeeping staff cleaned under my bed, the room, and even cleaned the window seal. I have been amazed. The staff here are the sweetest, kindest, happiest people I have ever experienced in a hospital. I have had fun getting better and stronger and will miss many of the smiling faces I have come to know as friends.
My stay here at Fairfax Hospital has been amazing. Very comfortable atmosphere. The nurses try to solve problems as they arise immediately. I am a dialysis patient, and it is so different than the bigger hospitals. In a bigger hospital dialysis is in a room with multiple patients. Shannon, my dialysis nurse, is very compassionate and knowledgeable about dialysis. I have a couple of nurses who have made my stay great, Cathy and a new nurse named Tamra. They have helped throughout my stay away from home. Made it comfortable in every way. Also, the nurse practitioners Rachel and Valerie are also amazing and have been very thorough in my care, taking care of any problems that arise. I love staying here.
I have been in a lot of hospitals over the last 8 years. I really enjoy the feeling of being in a smaller hospital. The attention and care I’ve received has felt more personalized than anywhere else I have been. The standard of care I have received has been top notch also. Everyone here has been very attentive to my needs and very friendly. Definitely a Five Star Stay!
